Bryan and I had a wonderful one year anniversary dinner at the top of Queen Anne restaurant called Emmer&Rye. It was both of our first time there and we dined al fresco on their fabulous patio on a gorgeous night with people watching on Queen Anne Ave. below. We had a great meal with good conversation and we both got all glammed up. I left tipsy and happy and can’t honestly believe that one year has already passed so quickly.
Small cheese plate to start. An aged blue and a creamy brie with nice crackers and an apricot jam.
Bryan’s apple-cider braised pork shoulder with glazed vegetables and potatoes.
Emmer and Rye’s patio where we sat, note not my picture it was bright and sunny and the patio was packed.
Organic Tilia Cabernet from Mendoza, Argentina that we both loved!
Bryan’s strawberry charlotte dessert with a custard, cake, and filling on the inside. Decent.
My chocolate spiced cake, very fudgy, with little graham cracker crisps and marshmallow smores and a caramel sauce.
My grilled shrimp with fried green tomatoes on a coulis. A side of garlic oil spinach came in a bowl.
Anniversary card…Bryan’s favorite author is John Steinbeck

I love to be active, be outside and be in the sun. I am shy but friendly, lazy but active, motivated but content, and I would smile my entire life if I could. I have lived in Michigan all my life until I took a chance to move to the Pacific Northwest in 2011 after graduating from the University of Michigan. It has been a great adventure. I am very excited to see where this chapter in my life takes me!
