Chelsea Lately

  • Bryan has to work the night shift (3pm-11:30pm) for two weeks đŸ˜¦
  • He also is busy on his climbing outings all day Sundays and his classes on Wednesday đŸ˜¦
  • Now on Jillian Michael’s Level 2 of the 30 Day Shred…ouch
  • Have some garden seeds planted (romaine, leeks, brussels and beets…I want those damn beets to grow)
  • Marika is still out of work for another week at least
  • Just joined a mystery shopping/dining venture thanks to the recommendation of a FareStart friend…first dining experience in a couple of weeks
  • Taking my two huge bags of clothes to Capitol Hill consignment store instead of Goodwill
  • Bryan is now a daily coffee drinker, he makes it even when I am not there, he makes it strong, he orders it when we are at dinner, and he hardly uses any cream or sugar (sound like someone else I might know?)
  • One week until the PE = no social life
  • Went to the FareStart Community Dinner for the first time with friend Nikki…happens first Wednesday every month open to anyone involved with FareStart in any capacity, it was exceptionally delicious, convenient, and a good time with my girl Nikkie

Awesome dinner from the FareStart chefs!! Theme was Cuban so they had great jerked chicken thighs, beans and rice, corn and okra fritters, and a salad with jicama and mango, their own hot sauce, and an upside down pineapple cake for dessert with candied corn on the side for crunch!!

  • Slaving away at Game of Thrones Season 3 in my free (?) time to get ready for the new season premiere
  • Switched back to Comcast internet, thankfully
  • I looooooove walking
  • Picked up PF Changs for Polly and I on Monday because I hadn’t seen her in forever
  • Girls made a fire for the first time on Monday; lesson learned:  we need to clean the flue
  • License apparently is still suspended but I am getting that taken care of as we speak
  • It’s a chore for me to wear anything but boots or booties to work
  • Really have taken over the control of the Capitol Hill Station since I have been head honcho
  • I don’t care about no basketball no more
  • But I did just buy my own basketball, it’s a Wilson
  • Obsessed with the Refreshe sparkling flavored waters you find at Safeway
  • Also digging Honey Bunches of Oats recently
  • And creamy soups even though it is spring
  • And now that winter is over I haven’t gotten frozen yogurt in like two months
  • It looks like I am going to be the new SEAW Young Members Forum president for the next year beginning in June/July
  • Last FareStart for a while with Quinn’s in Capitol Hill: Salad of Asparagus, Rhubarb, Mache, Pickled Ramps, Braised and Glazed Anderson Valley Lamb Breast, Fava Beans, Spring Onion, Parsley Root, Gremolata Jus, Panna Cotta Creamsicle
    Great refreshing asparagus salad.

The best (and fattiest) meat I have ever had in my life...plus everything else going on here.

I'm normally not a huge fan of panna cotta but this orange creamsicle one was delicious!
