This past Saturday marked the grand opening of the 10-year-in-the-making University Link Light Rail line, including the University of Washington Husky Stadium Station and the Capitol Hill Station where I spent two years doing design construction support with my friend and coworker Marika. On Monday at 4 pm, a large group of us from the office rode the Link from the nearby University Street Station to the UW station, toured the station, then rode back to the Capitol Hill Station to tour and then met a very large group of all the lead disciplines involved on the projects, most of my company, and a few head honchos from Sound Transit for drinks and appetizers at the nearby Poquitos in Capitol Hill. I had a blast riding the train with the crew and even more fun celebrating the opening with strong margaritas afterward. Here is my camera-roll of the day.

I love to be active, be outside and be in the sun. I am shy but friendly, lazy but active, motivated but content, and I would smile my entire life if I could. I have lived in Michigan all my life until I took a chance to move to the Pacific Northwest in 2011 after graduating from the University of Michigan. It has been a great adventure. I am very excited to see where this chapter in my life takes me!
