Did a mystery shop at a hotel in Bellevue which Bryan and I treated like a mini vacation for the night. This was a first for us but we had great fun doing it. We got dinner in Bellevue (where we never go) at Dough Zone Dumpling House, where we filled ourselves up with several orders of steamed dumplings, buns, fried potstickers, and cucumber all washed down with tea. We swam in their pool, used their fitness room, and slept in their king bed, falling asleep to the TV with 200 channels. The night morning we sampled their complimentary breakfast before heading out to run errands in Renton, where I hardly ever go.

This was my first trip to get a vehicle emissions tested, which Bryan and I did in order to get new tabs on his Jeep. We spent only about 10 minutes in IKEA, which I’ve never managed to do before, to get two more pillows and pillow covers for our couch. We idled in the International market to get some cooking goodies. We finally made our way to our first seen concert of Billy and Valerie’s symphonic orchestra. Their music selection was awesome and we thoroughly enjoyed the music and seeing our friends afterwards while it was raining outside. Post concert drive home in the sun to see our house for the first time this weekend. We each rowed and then made dinner of fettuccine alfredo, not a first, and watched three episodes of Mad Men.

Sunday morning we arrived at church and had to sit in the loft for the first time ever (service is getting much busier lately). After church we decided to endure the wait at our neighboring Cafe Flora for our first meal there ever. After 30 minutes we were seated and Bryan tried the breakfast quesadilla and I tried the seasonal breakfast platter and we shared a small order of beignets (my first beignets ever). Both of our meals were delicious and I really liked the environment and want to go back! Once the raining stopped I went for my weekly run while Bryan rowed and then we tried making eggrolls for the first time ever. The pork and veggie eggrolls and sticky chicken drumsticks both came out tasty to enjoy during our last episode of Mad Men. We can’t wait for the last season and are so happy that it has picked up in plot since we last left off.

And now we are back to work…not so new!
