Another repeat on the delivery front. We received our 2nd box of produce, out of the three boxes that I purchased through Livingsocial, from Pacific Coast Harvest. This box arrived the week after we got back from New Zealand which was perfect timing when in desire need of not only groceries, but particularly fruits and veggies! Our goods this time came in a very nice wood and burlap crate and everything was fresh and plentiful. My customized assortment box this time (season) featured:
- Gala apples
- Hass avocados
- Cremini mushrooms
- Beets
- Collard greens
- Lacinato kale
- Leeks
- Red onion
From this plethora I have used up all of these items making:
- Apples enjoyed in all their simplicity
- Creamy mushroom soup
- Kale ceasar salad
- Salad with roasted red onions and avocado
- Sauteed collard greens with pancetta
- Roasted leeks with romesco sauce
- Beet and carrot salad withhazlenuts
I really do love kale caesar salads!
