Other times you get into free events by simply sharing your opinion. So goes the philosophy of Yelp and becoming a Yelp Elite member. Fortunately my friend Polly is working on making Elite and so we both got to go to the Yelp 10 Year Birthday Party on Thursday along with a guest. The event was hosted in the Hotel Max but in their parking garage, and it was a super cool venue, very industrial, spacious, and shabby chic.
The party was complete with putt putt, drinks, food, candy, cookies, ice cream, a photo booth, face painting, back massage, and lots of free swag. Just take a look at how much fun we had!
It started with a bar set up in the parking garage elevator that took us up to the party. They had a photo booth. But we took our own photos while waiting in line for the booth. There was food like these asiago cheese macaroons and sliced duck breast with raspberry sauce.Lemonade lavendar and another crazy concoction of kettle corn.Um boozy milkshakes with Snoqualmie vanilla bean ice cream, Pinnacle cake vodka, sprinkles, and chocolate sauce.
A nice night out with Yelp, although I did miss my FareStart.
I love to be active, be outside and be in the sun. I am shy but friendly, lazy but active, motivated but content, and I would smile my entire life if I could. I have lived in Michigan all my life until I took a chance to move to the Pacific Northwest in 2011 after graduating from the University of Michigan. It has been a great adventure. I am very excited to see where this chapter in my life takes me!
