Week of Normalcy

This week was the first relatively normal week we have had in a while.  It was pleasant and relaxing and good for us.

I was able to cook a late Easter dinner,

Bryan and I loved this! A glaze of apple cider vinegar, brown sugar, and dijon mustard went on the steak under the broiler, alongside lemon and garlic roasted asparagus and green onion and garlic mashed taters.

we were able to catch up with Game of Thrones,

I had my cooking class on Tuesday night which was awesome,

had my first mystery shopping outing at Capital Grille for lunch on Wednesday,

Refreshing arugula, watermelon and feta salad (also with tomatoes, red onion, and cucumber)

got back to the yoga studio for a very hot yoga class on Wednesday and Sunday,

had a lazy night with the girls on Thursday night watching the movie Homefront,

did a Jillian Michaels video,

walked 3 miles to Belltown and had a nice Italian dinner out with the boy on Friday at La Vita E Bella,

and skied our last day of the season at Steven’s on Saturday,

followed up with a fantastically filling dinner at Annapurna afterwards,

Chicken mango mazza!

and then I had a nice Sunday to myself,

with which I went to church,

before finishing up the weekend with two Game of Thrones episodes at Luis and Carina’s along with a potluck (I made spinach and artichoke dip but we had turkey legs, chicken lettuce wraps, mashed potatoes, buckeye cookies for a mixed spread).

The constant drizzle the past week was a pain in the ass and this is about the time of the year when I just want it to be summer already.  The sun did come out Thursday afternoon and stuck around for much of the weekend.  Can’t wait for July already.
