For many, many years I have tried to have a fresh outlook on the new year without setting resolutions, but I still make a list of those items I want to put my attention towards. This year it looks a bit like this:
- Cook Dinner 1X A Week
- Take Multivitamin Daily
- 2 Hours Physical Activity A Week
- Read A Book A Month
- Study For The P.E.
- Take A Cooking Course
- Take A Dance Class
There are of course others, but I am saving those for March when the previous list is officially expired. For now, these would be your “typical” NYE resolutions that I have set for myself. So far I am off to a pretty good start.
Steps towards goals:
- Made brunch at home both Saturday and Sunday last weekend (omelet and breakfast tacos)
- Made homemade Thai Chicken Noodle Soup on Tuesday
- Began beginner salsa dancing with Bryan on Tuesday (super fun)
- Skied all day last Saturday and this Sunday
- Took a one hour barre class last Sunday
- Took an hour long yoga class on Wednesday
- Started taking multivitamin on Thursday
- Got Bryan to start reading a book on Monday (that is half the battle)
- Dinner at home with Bryan, Mikayla and Nate on Saturday
And that doesn’t take away from everything else going on:
- Tauber alumni reunion drinks and appetizers Monday
- Good-bye happy hour for coworker at Pikes Brewery on Wednesday
- FareStart returned on Thursday with Dragonfish Cafe serving up a menu of Asian fusion
Crispy Vegetable Dumplings, Kimchi Puree, Bean Sprout Salad Marinated Tofu, Honey Sesame Glazed Root Vegetables, Scallion Pudding Braised Pork Belly, Roasted Oyster Mushroom, Pickled Turnip, Dashi, Pine Nut Crumb Chocolate Mousse Cake, Kaffir Lime Crème Anglaise, Pomegranate, Thai Basil - Staff meeting on Friday
- Good-bye party for Polly’s friend at our house on Friday
- Seahawk’s playoff game on Saturday (winner winner chicken dinner)
