I’ve still been purchasing though it continues to be contained to shopping online (ever since Amy left), which is not really any sort of containment in reality. Though really I might as well…since starting to get the Money Under 30 Blog with daily exercises and advice on saving and spending, I really do have my priorities in line with financial goals and happiness, rarely overspend or spend on frivolous things, and save a considerable amount of my current monthly income. That’s not to brag, that’s more to encourage and relieve myself of any guilt from spending; which I have far less these days.
But lets take a look at what is new:
I bought four bathing suits from Victoria Secret and just finished the decision-making process to narrow it down to keeping just one.

A new shipment for American Eagle. Mostly to add a bit more color and fun into my wardrobe and they were having a 50% off everything sale so I got all four items for $70 even.

And I must confess just how much I have been loving the last shopping binge. Both the lacey white dress and the bright coral dresses I have worn and love and have received a lot of compliments for and do think they look really great on me. My hot pink flats received so many compliments the first time wearing them and were comfortable. I love my new running shoes immensely, it’s been far too long since I had new running shoes. The pearl drop necklace I have been wearing constantly and love its daintiness and that it goes with nearly everything. And the leggings, tank, and shorts have all been worn a few times.
And, in general, I am just really trying to refocus on MY style and having fun with it (vs. really letting my work attire veer to the ultra-casual end). That’s why I like shopping and clothes in the first place. And getting back to my style I’ve gone back to classic pieces with edgy additions. I guess that would be the easiest way to summarize “my look”. For instance, I have lately been wearing a lot of skirts and dresses. Sounds like your typical business casual, right? But not exactly. I have been wearing a lot of these pieces with more casual tops, mixing up patterns, wearing funky or chunky jewelry, with tights, or my latest favorite is to wear them with booties instead of heels or pumps.
And dressing nice is my treat to myself…as are mani/pedis, haircuts, etc.
