I feel very productive lately. I’ve accomplished a lot in not a whole lot of time and had fun while doing so. Can’t say anything bad about that. Check off the things on my to-do list:
- Finish t-shirt quilt
- Find new roommate
- Paint my nails
- Clean my room
- Host my first SEAW happy hour (largest attendance yet)
Regular fries with trio of dipping sauces at Sazerac Ordered several regular sliders and pulled pork sliders for the table. I could have eaten three of these rustic sweet potato fries alone. So good @Sazerac. - Start a new book (Norwegian Wood)
- Do laundry
- Kill a few plants (I tried moving some that were too crowded in my garden)
- Clean kitchen
- Complete a crossword (Monday = easy)
- Attend two outdoor yoga classes
Class outside = the greatest ever!! There’s me!!! Kerry Park in all its sunny summer glory…perfect yoga spot for an evening class!!! - Have brunch with new friends (made a rum-spiked fruit salad which was a big hit)
- Watch naked people bike
- Play some tennis
- Host Mad Men night BBQ Edition
I was really please with how my bbq came out. The ribs and chicken were both marinated in the same chipotle marinade and had a great smoky and spicy undertone, the chicken thighs were left as is while the ribs were finished on the grill with some Stubb’s BBQ sauce B brought. Corn was grilled in husks and baked beans were slow cooked and delicious. Everything was gone but that didn’t mean there wasn’t enough food to go around, everyone was stuffed. Salad, chips and salsa, pasta salad, and fruit and coconut ice cream bars were contributed by friends. - Ate a bunch of cookies
- Won at couples tennis
- Watched a cult classic: Trainspotting
- Join my coworkers for a farewell party and baby shower on Friday
Fatty pork and bland beans and rice…only redeeming qualities of this lunch were getting to catch up with my coworkers and it being free! - Finish the 2nd season of The Killing
- Begin a new phase of my financial plan education and action (bought an index fund)
