Lately the alone time that I normally held so prized has dwindled to mere minutes. Â Between spending as much time with Amy as I can before she leaves me for two whole years and spending time with the boy who is needy fun to hang with I am socially fatigued…but it is not all bad.
After plans on last Saturday to go skiing fell through I walked with the boy to the Seattle Center Armory (recently renovated into something freaking amazing!) for lunch.  I had the best chicken tenders of my life.  We both ordered from the Skillet Counter food stand and he got their Fried Chicken Sammie and I got their special of the day, the Cereal Crusted Chicken Tenders with honey mustard dipping sauce.  Sooooooooo crunchy, soooooooo surprisingly not greasy (for being from Skillet), so easily cleaned my plate.  Gave the sauce to the boy for his sammie in substitution for ketchup.  Along with their side of mixed greens I was full and happy and the sun was beaming through.  So we decided it was a beautiful day for outdoor putt putt? It was indeed a beautiful day, but cold, we raced through the putt putt course, with me just barely pulling out a victory (a wager was placed like usual).  🙂

End boy time, moving onto girl time. Â Polly and I joined Amy for a dinner and girl’s night at her place Saturday night (Bryan dropped me off). Â Polly left, I slept over. Â Sunday morning I awoke early to help Amy make crepes for the second week of NFL playoffs with our hometown team, while watching my UM bball team simultaneously on her IPAD. Â Unvictorious x2! Â Crepes were delicious with my contributions of bananas and nutella, a great cinnamon apple filling, pumpkin cream cheese, lots of fruit, and link sausages. Â Plus mimosas. Â Still not a good outcome on the sports front.

End girl time, back to boy time.  Watched The Secret to the Curve with Bryan (he loved it and is recommending it to his dad, so Dad, you would like it too!) Sunday night, went to dinner and a movie on Tuesday.  But we were running late and dinner was so good that the  free screening of Broken City was missed.  But that dinner we had was at Branzino’s in Belltown (with Groupon).  It is a cute, intimate, and small Italian restaurant and we were first time diners.  We had to try their signature dish, the Branzino, and I couldn’t help being reminisced of our meal we grilled ourselves in Cabo.  We split the most expensive dish on the menu (the restaurant named branzino fish) and got a slew of delicious sides to share as well.  Plus a glass of their Montepulciano to sip on, I was one happy girl with a plate I coined “an Italian Thanksgiving”. Yummy!

I spent one more evening with Bryan before he left for his long weekend trip for his bachelor’s party to go skiing in Colorado. Â As soon as he was shipped off I reverted back to Girl Time. Â Amy had my back in the UM vs. UM happy-hour-game-watching party with a few of our coworkers. Â UM won = free lunch for me! Â Amy and I spent another Saturday evening slumber party making dinner (chicken fingers), watching TV, and getting rid of her clothes in preparation for her move to New Zealand.
Boy Girl Boy Girl…story of my life.
