To The Lake

Headed out of for a great sunny and warm weekend in Eastern Washington with the crew for some boating, skiing, tubing, and camping in Grand Coulee, WA at Lake Roosevelt.  Should be sooooo much fun.

The week went by very quickly…it seemed like a million appointments and a few fun things thrown in, plus beautifully stunning weather.  Wednesday night we got happy hour drinks and apps at Sonrisa at U Village before settling into a great concert by the local and talented Leroy Bell and His Only Friends for their Sounds of Summer Concert Series every Wednesday night.  I LOVED his music, great voice, great guitarist, reminded me of Ben Harper in sound and looks.  Best calamari in a very long time too.

Blue corn calamari over a pepper salad with a tangy vinaigrette and side of some kind of aioli for dipping. Good!

Thursday I had my Thank You Volunteers party for the Ballard Seafood Fest in Ballard.  I went last year and had a blast.  This year was again great with a band playing for us, socializing with fellow volunteers, and an amazing spread of deliciously donated food from area restaurants with: middle eastern, wood-fired pizza, baked penne, smoked salmon, and all you can drink beverages.  Shopped for the trip and am packed and ready to head out.  All that is standing in my way is a relatively short day at work with our monthly staff meeting and then we are taking to the road this afternoon!!!  Get me on a boat!!!
