Monday: Lounged cuz it felt so good. Exciting I know.

Tuesday: SEAW (Structural Engineering professional society) Young Professionals happy hour at Thoa’s Vietnamese two blocks down 1st Ave. from the office. Went with coworker Paul, met many people at other companies or UW Graduate School, bragged about cool project, and ate free gyoza, potstickers, sweet potato fries, edamame and calamari. Monthly meetups that I will be partaking in for sure! Though I think I will sit far, far away from the klutzy engineer who spilt his beer on me. Nothing annoys me more than sloppy beer drinkers making me reek.

Wednesday: Agonized over my model still not working right. Begged and pleaded to give me another assignment to take my mind off of stupid SAFE. Finished reading the Brave on the Harbor Steps overlooking the waterfront before heading home, actually making myself dinner, and then heading to University Village shopping center for a HUGE free concert with this awesome lead female guitarist. Love that!

Thursday: Happy Hour hostess for the Meetup group (3 months in and already helping host the happy hours) at a great little Asian bar, Karma on 2nd in Belltown. $4 chicken satay and fried tofu with peanut sauce and $4 lychee fruit martinis YUM! Generous owner, great crowd, packed the patio area, and met lots of Seattle newbies. Ran into EGL friend on the streets on my way home, come to find out he just had his last day for his Tauber project at Boeing, felt weird that those UM/EGL friends that have been here that I have never hung out with while being here are leaving and going back to Michigan. Don’t know why.

Friday: Caught the concert series at noon just downstairs. Went to my newest favorite restaurant in Seattle, The List, on 2nd in Belltown. Awesome and inventive dishes and real reasonable prices. I demolished the grilled sea bass over tomato cream farro and sauteed kale and resisted myself not to lick the plate. Split a phenomenal bottle of Malbec. Walked to Seattle Center to see an improv comedy group. Went to bed at 2:30. Surprised I made it out that late after a long week.

The List = new favorite restaurant

Saturday: Crawled out of bed in time for my carpool at noon. Was the last person to leave my company picnic held at Seward Park on Lake Washington. Got beat in croquet twice (blame the strange rules and cheating coworkers), ate three plates of ribs and blazing chicken from Smokin Pete’s BBQ at picnic. Noshed on gourmet cupcakes from Cupcake Royale. Was hazed, had to eat a pickled egg. Seriously, Yoopers are weirdos, who pickles eggs? Yuck. Next included an awesome outdoor concert by Amos Lee at the Chateau St. Michelle winery. Outdoor concert, good seats, wines to purchase direct from the winery by the bottle, sweet Reisling, oh yes.

Sunday: Yoga and then…nothing. Yes it was nice!

Monday: Yoga class and delivery of big screen tv.

Tuesday: Grabbed a fish taco and pork taco from the best food truck in Seattle, El Camion on Occidental Ave., as my friend and I headed to the Mariners game. Thanks JA!

Best fish taco and best food truck of Seattle. El Camion. The carne asada and chicken mole were good as well but I died when I ate the fish taco.

Wednesday: Wine, apps, and jazz at Pink’s Ultra Lounge.

Thursday: Live jazz in the Olympic Sculpture Park.

Friday: Sit tight until family comes at 11pm.
